With no cricket and no clubhouse open it seems we have to go down memory lane to talk cricket. We are however hoping that shortly we could have some restricted opening of the nets.
20 years ago was our first season in the Premier league and after an opening day loss to Cheam it took us until July to record our first win. It was over Spencer, who were relegated, and Priory finished in 8th spot escaping relegation by the skin of our teeth.
42 Club members had just returned from a very successful tour to South Africa.
John Bramhall was club captain but Aussie, Brad Oldroyd, was 1st XI captain on the field.

We only had Youth fixtures at U15, U13 & U11 levels and about 50 fixtures in total.

The Club had not yet started Saturday 5th and 6th XIs nor a Ladies section.
The club has exploded in growth since 2000 but that's little consolation when we can't play any cricket. Hopefully in the not too distant future this will all seem like just some bad dream.
