If you didn't read the article we posted 10 days or so ago about Priory's Alice Capsey being bought by the Delhi Capitals in the Women's India Premier League for £75,000 then this is a follow up. Reproduced below is a piece on Alice from a report circulated by the ECB yesterday outlining how the 7 England Women cricketers are faring in the IPL.
The Delhi Capitals have reached the competition final and await their opponents. Below is the ECB's report on Alice's performances to date.
"Regular, quick-scoring contributions in a star-studded batting line-up for Capsey. She started the tournament batting at 5 but has since moved up to her usual number 3 position where she has looked in imperious form.
In Delhi Capital’s final group game against UP Warriorz, Capsey took 3-26 and scored 34 to guide her side to the final."
What an experience for an 18 year old and looks like a nice bonus to look forward to. Something to hopefully inspire our girls and women.
