RPCC VI-Kings (104) beat Foxbury Exiles (100) by four runs.
The VI-Kings pulled off an incredible bowling performance on Saturday to dismiss the opposition, who were within touching distance of a low target. The final wicket fell in the last over and made the journey into SE London well worth it for Reigate.
The man of the match was Charlie Chovil (4-22, 8 overs) who was getting a disproportionate amount movement from his deliveries and even bowled one of the oppo's stalwart batsmen behind his legs. Honourable mention goes to debutant Harry Bellew (2-12, 6 overs) and Manoj Rajarethinam (2-9, 7 overs), the latter shining as a death bowler.
This unprecedented run of form is an excellent portent of the new leadership of the team, with Captain James 'the Barnacle' Wilson demonstrating a skill for youth development and selection.
Long may it last. An imminent run of home games may see a clamour for a spot with the hardest working team at Reigate Priory.
