After years of hard work and dedication Emily Burke and George McLoughlin have been selected for the 2025 intake to Surrey's Academy. In their words...
Emily's PR : "With the latest restructuring of women’s domestic cricket in England and Wales and the discontinuation of regional talent pathways, the academies of Tier 1 counties will take an even greater role in the development of talented and upcoming cricketers.
At Surrey Academy, which serves as an essential stepping stone to first-team cricket in the senior squad, the inductees will be exposed to world-class cricket coaching as well as high-quality provisions for strength & conditioning work, physiotherapy and sports science, and sport psychology. The group of selected players will also receive match practice against quality opponents throughout the next summer."

George's PR: "Having honed their skills in the Talent Pathway for numerous years and played representative cricket for Surrey at several age group levels, these players have now been selected into the final phase of the Surrey Academy on their perceived potential to play professionally for the Three Feathers in the near future.
Regarded as one of the best set-ups in the country, the objective of the Academy is to help harness the full potential of the inductees and assist them in making the step up to professional cricket.
The well-structured programme will offer them world-class cricket coaching, provide training facilities necessary for improving their skills as well as support the group with high-quality strength & condition work, sports science, physiotherapy and sport psychology. Each player also receives a customised, extensive match programme of age group and Second XI cricket to aid their progress."
